thoughts

so my wonderful friend sent me two quotes, bits of wisdom, whatever you would prefer to call it but here they are

"Lust is when you feel like you can't imagine living without them but love is when you can imagine living without them but choose not to"

and the other one is

"True love is knowing someone isn't a perfect match for you but you want to spend eternity with them anyways"

i like them alot and thought i would share them with you all!

the other thing is my baby brother got a chinchilla for his birthday and i got to play with him tonight. he is very adorable in my opinion, his name is Dash and he is very soft and cuddly. he is just right, small and soft and likes to be held close so it make it nice to cuddle with him :) here are a few pictures of him

Patience

As of late I have been slightly struggled with having patience with others. some tell me i need more sleep, others more water, others say i need more down time. i say i need to try harder. whatever the cause i'm going to try to increase all of the possibilities seeing as how i like water, sleep, down time and trying to get better. :) but i must say lately some of my favorite people are little kids because they just wanna play and eat and be happy. Oh to go back to that kind of life :)

Also i have decided that i am going to go get a few new books i have read and reread pretty much all of mine! maybe try somethin new, new author or something. any suggestions there??

I have been pondering about this next quarter. registration is this next week and it will be my last quarter until after my mission so i want to enjoy it but i also want to be productive towards my goals of being a well rounded artist. I've taken a beginning design and a beginning photography class before. i'm thinking that another photography class, a drawing class and a couple welding credits should do it for me. i want to try to apply what i learn in the drawing class to the welding because i want to be able to use a cutting torch and my welds like pencils. i think the drawing and photography will help me practice depth too which can also be applied to my welding because i dont use a ton of color yet.

these are some of the stuff i've been working on recently

these are two pictures of seaweed i'm tryin to build. i started just messin with the cutting torch and then seaweed came to mind so i'm goin for it. to get the twisty parts of the seaweed i took some strips and put one end in a "C" clamp and grabbed the other end with a vice grip, heated it red hot and twisted. i did it section by section and it worked out pretty good. i have had fun doin it. my friends in the shop say that the seaweed reminds them of pasta but they've helped me to get it pulled together. today i attempted to cut out the fish. i'll probably post a picture of the whole thing when its all done until then...adios!

Well sorry guys i haven't blogged in so long. i have been busy and focused. i currently have 3 jobs. i work at Arby's, The Children's Place (clothes store for....you guessed, KIDS!), and i do office work and keep the tool room organized in the Green River Comm. College auto body shop. I must say that Arbys and the body shop are definitely my favorites. i am dating a wonderful young man named Ryan Boles....we starting dating about 6 days after i blogged last. i am taking a welding class at GRCC as well. i dunno what classes i'll be taking but it will be my last set of classes for a while because i will be able to put in my mission papers this summer. between now and then i intend to apply for a job at philmont and try to go for a little while, i think it would be great fun! and my mom and dad and i agree it would be a great learning experience! hope all is well and i shall blog at a later date! adios!

long time....no post.

Ok so basically reading my aunt's latest post inspired me to write. K so my life....crazy busy right?! Well sometimes. When I look at my calendar it looks really busy but when I actually am going thro it I don't feel so busy! So I believe it was two weeks ago, on the 14th, I got to go to this formal ball in Seattle and it was really fun. I love dressing up in fancy dresses and getting to dance! Plus! my friend is a total gentleman so that was really cool. He escorted me everywhere and it was really fun.

Then!!!! I had finals that following week which, if I do say so myself I feel pretty confident I did well on :)

Well then after that....this last Saturday I went to a musical with my other friend. It was the Titanic put on at Enumclaw High School and it was really fun. At the beginning of the musical they were listing off what they were loading on the ship and they said something along the lines of "last but not least one Enumclaw High School state champion steer." and these two boys, dressed in jeans, cowboy boots and hats and their FFA jackets walk this black herford steer across the stage. It was awesome. I started laughing because, well really Enumclaw is one of the only places that would do that. It was awesome. Well after that musical my friend drove me out and showed me this really pretty lake. And then took me home. :) It was fun.

I love the YSA program! It is absolutely incredible. I get to meet so many awesome people.

Well.....since then I got to go hang out with my friend at his house and we just sat around and talked for a while it was great. I haven’t got to spend a lot of time with him cuz it’s his sr year and he's been busy so we took a bit of time to chill.

And then.....I got to got hang out with my other awesome friend at FHE! He is an awesome driver and drove a super awesome car that has a really strong engine. It was a 94 civic I think. Anyways it was fun. At FHE we decorated these bags to put craft supplies in for the kids at mary bridge children's hospital. Becca has excellent ideas. I got to talk to some people I’d never sat down and talked to before! They were awesome.

Time for me to get things done! Have a fabulous day!!

Date Ideas----Use 'Em People!!! Dating is good!!!

 Make popsicles or ice cream together and then while eating it, walk to the nearest park and play on the equipment.
 Group Date: each couple makes puppets and then put on a puppet show for the rest of the group.
 Go kite flying. Some dollar stores sell kites.
 Tie Dye! You can tie dye shirts, sheets, or pillow cases. Socks have never worked for me in the past but puff paints work great on socks. Try tie dying sweats and sweatshirts.
 Water fight! On a hot day, start a water fight with all of the neighborhood kids or just you and your date!
 Make a puzzle. Take heavy poster board and draw and color a picture on it. Then flip it over and cut the pieces out. Trade puzzles with another couple if you’re on a group date and put each other’s puzzles back together.
 Build a house out of a deck of cards! After you finish make sure to take a picture of it! Then play go fish, memory, or another card game you both enjoy.
 Cut apart old magazines and cards and put them in a book made of folded construction paper. Arrange them so they tell a story, complete with captions. Use a newspaper and cut out the words for your story.
 Finger paint a picture for someone you know that would appreciate it!
 Start at your date's house. Before you get to an intersection, flip the coin. Heads you turn right; tails you turn left. Use this technique to decide where to go to dinner (you stop at the first restaurant as determined by the flip of a coin).

Hunting

For those of you who don’t know, i believe hunting is a very very important for us as humans to do. It’s how we help nature stay in balance. Here are two stories i read in American Hunter that show what happens when we don’t hunt in certain areas.

First is called “Who Done It?”
"Rounding up the usual suspects is getting a little hairy in New Jersey. With at least 55 home break-ins attributed to bears in 2008, homeowners are increasingly telling sketch artists, "He had big teeth and claws and hair all over." The state hasn't had a bear season since 2005, and the problem-bear encounters have skyrocketed ever since. When asked about the record number of bear/human conflicts in New Jersey (which are about double 2007 levels) last September, Gov. Jon Corzine told New Jersey Harold, "A lot of the problem is perception." Corzine then said he sees no need to have another black bear hunt."

The second is called "Bad Kitty, This is My Bedroom"
“Jane Chanteau, who lives in Northern California’s Big Sur country, woke up when her cat was screeching under her bed. As she rubbed her eyes, she thought she saw a big dog trying to get her housecat. “I whacked him on the rear, like, ‘You’re not getting my baby,’” she said. That’s when she realized she’d swatted a mountain lion, reported the San Francisco Chronicle. Her husband, Guge Punchera, subsequently shooed the cougar out of the front door by chasing it with a broom. We said it before in these pages, but we’ll say it again: It’s high time California reinstituted a hunting season for mountain lions; it’s the only effective way to make them fear people.“
